July is flying by

Happy Pioneer Day!! We celebrated by getting ice cream at Macey's (local grocery store that sells dirt cheap ice cream cones). As we were coming back fireworks were going off in every direction. We parked the car and watched a handful of neighborhood shows. We have been hearing fireworks every night this past week. Who doesn't want another excuse for fireworks?

Like the title said, July is flying by, but not without a post!! Here's a quick munch of our July adventures. We were able to go to California for the 4th of July and visit Ben's family. We had a blast! Porter went on his first plane ride and slept most of it both ways (huge relief). We went to a Dodger game and sat in the "all you can eat" section. Ben's brother downed 7 dodger dogs, and this may seem like alot but I also watched the national hot dog eating contest and Joey Chestnut ate 68 hot dogs in 10 minutes! So...either way I had 2!

Other highlights of the trip included the Moorepark Zoo, watched some fireworks, went to the LA temple, celebrated a few birthdays, boogied at the beach, had a chocolate chip cookie BAKE OFF (more to blog on this event) caught up with a high school friend, and had a lot of fun time with family.
